Alienware Activation @ Comic Con San Diego
I worked with an event producer to art direct the Alienware activation at San Diego Comic Con. The event featured popular video games, which attendees could play amongst friends on the newest Alienware systems. The tent's centerpiece was an interactive photostream wall which aggregated content from social media using the tour's hashtag. The activation led guests inside with a unique flooring system leading up to the photosteam, and out to the other zones of the tent, including a photo backdrop, custom charging stations and gaming competitions.
Responsible for art direction and strategy for BuzzFeed's first SXSW party in 2014, I conceptualized BuzzFeed’s SXSW theme “Let’s Get Weird.” Playing off of Austin’s famous motto “Keep Austin Weird,” I crafted the invitation, shirts, photo booth and event photographs.
BuzzFeed White House Correspondents Dinner Party
In response to the exclusive White House Correspondents Dinner that happens every year, BuzzFeed concurrently hosts its annual "Bowties and Burgers" party (aka “Nerd Prom”). The event attracts hundreds of D.C.’s reporters and political staffers who do not attend the exclusive WHCD, and seek a fun alternative. For the second annual WHCD event, I was in charge of creating the invitations, signage and map.
BuzzFeed Brews is a sponsored event series that interviews high-profile guests, featuring celebrities, politicians, entrepreneurs and celebrated personalities. I worked with BuzzFeed’s Events Team and various sponsors to design customized signage and invitations that best reflect the nature of the event and all parties involved.
I designed 2 beer pong tables, matching koozies and signage for the BuzzFeed Talent Team to use at a tech recruiting event called Uncubed.
